Managing Performance within the Law
How to tackle poor performance in the workplace.
In summary
Managing performance can be a major problem for employers. The vast amount of new employment and discrimination legislation over the past few years can leave managers afraid to take any action over poor performance, for fear of litigation. As a result, much unacceptable behaviour and performance goes unchallenged, impacting on the efficiency and bottom-line of the business, and the morale and productivity of other employees.
What is it about?
This practical, interactive one-day workshop is designed to reassure managers that poor performance can be tackled effectively, and to show them how to do it. It gives an overview of employee rights and the disciplinary and grievance procedure, and looks at options for dismissal should this be necessary. Extensive use is made of real-life cases, and delegates work through challenging scenarios in small groups. Adding a second day to this workshop allows for extensive hands-on skills practice to reinforce the training.
